Artisan Breads
Sourdough, focaccia, ciabatta, and seasonal varieties — all leavened naturally, all baked in small batches. Our sourdough starter is a living thing we've tended with consistency, and you can taste the difference in every crust.

Imperial Club Lounge is a bakery and specialty grocer built on one conviction: the everyday should taste extraordinary. Handcrafted breads, curated pantry staples, and ingredients you won't find anywhere else on the block.
Our Story
Imperial Club Lounge started with a simple observation: most bakeries in San Francisco chase aesthetics over substance. We chose the opposite path. Every loaf, every jar, every item on our shelves exists because it earned its place — not because it photographs well.
We source flour from regional mills, ferment our starters with patience, and curate our grocery selection the way a serious home cook would: by taste, provenance, and the quiet confidence of something made right.
What We Do
We are a bakery that bakes. We are also a grocer that curates. Both require taste. Neither requires compromise.
Sourdough, focaccia, ciabatta, and seasonal varieties — all leavened naturally, all baked in small batches. Our sourdough starter is a living thing we've tended with consistency, and you can taste the difference in every crust.
Butter croissants, pain au chocolat, danishes, and tarts made with French technique and local ingredients. We bake them cold-room disciplined and oven-hot fresh, every single morning.
Olive oils, aged vinegars, preserved goods, flours, chocolates, and pantry essentials selected for quality you can verify. If we wouldn't keep it in our own kitchen, we don't sell it here.
We rotate our selection with the seasons and our relationships with local producers. What's available shapes what we bake and what we stock. The result is a menu that actually changes.
The Craft
In a city that moves fast, we made a deliberate choice to move deliberately. Our bread ferments for 24 to 48 hours. Our pastry dough rests overnight. Our grocery shelf is curated slowly, not stocked quickly.
This isn't a marketing position. It's an operational one. Everything we do is governed by the quality of the ingredient, the integrity of the technique, and the patience to let it finish before it's finished.
"The bread here changed how I think about bread. Not pretentious — just honest, deeply flavorful, and made with a seriousness that's rare on this street."
